People’s Champion Scott Mitchell was part of the Alzheimer’s Research UK Thames Valley Network event St Catherine’s College, Oxford, for their first Public Research Day.
The day welcomed people living with dementia, carers, families and members of the wider community where the theme was Hope, Progress and Partnership: The Road Ahead for Dementia Research.
Throughout the afternoon, we explored what that means in practice.
From inspiring talks and plain-English research posters to a thought-provoking panel discussion, the afternoon provided an opportunity to share the latest developments in dementia research, ask questions, hear different perspectives and, most importantly, bring researchers and people affected by dementia together.
